CGS classes provide hands on learning for children 3-6 years old.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
is a hands on learning experience for children 3-6 years old.
1st Grade
God Loves Us
Students begin to learn about the Trinity, the Church, Sacraments, and prayer.
2nd Grade
Jesus Shares God's Life with Us
Students prepare for their First Reconciliation and First Communion. They also learn how to pray the Rosary.
3rd Grade
We Are the Church
Students learn how the Church was formed and how we celebrate our faith and serve God together.
4th & 5th Grade
We Meet Jesus in the Sacraments
This book is taught every other year.
Students study each of the Sacraments in greater detail and learn how they help us fully live our Catholic faith.

We Are God's People
This book is taught every other year.
Students learn about God's covenants with his people from creation to the Catholic Church and how these covenants shape our faith.
6th Grade
Confirmation Preparation
Students review the central beliefs of the Church from the Catechism and study in depth the Sacrament of Confirmation and the Holy Spirit.
7th & 8th Grade
Apologetics & Theology of the Body
These topics alternate every other year.
In Theology of the Body students reflect on what being both body and soul teaches us about relationships.
In Apologetics they learn to answer common questions about the Church since they have been strenghtened in Confirmation to defend their faith.
