Holy Matrimony
"The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament." [CIC 1055]
In order to realize the full dignity of your upcoming nuptials, the Church wishes to provide you with all of the best preparations for a lifelong, enriching marriage.
Steps to Marriage Preparation
Soon after your engagement, contact one of our priests to start the process:
Very. Rev. Christopher Brashears - Fr. Benji Bandanadam
After meeting with the priests, where your marriage preparation process will be set up, we can then talk about your wedding date on the calendar; before this meeting, please do not make any plans.
If either party has been previous married, either through a religious or civil ceremony, you may have an extra process to complete. We are happy to help you through this process.
Whether you plan to get married here or elsewhere, two to three months before the wedding you and the priest will have a special meeting to work on the Prenuptial Investigation.
Celebrate the beautiful Sacrament of Matrimony!
